The ENERGY 5.1e speaker hosts a 1" soft dome tweeter, and two 8" Quadconcentric woofers. The front and rear vented cabinets delivers smooth and accurate bass down to 35Hz, and features the unique Spherex front baffles in their design. They can be configured for bi-wire or bi-amped hook-up with their 5-way binding posts.
These speakers have received good reviews for their design and sound quality.
Edward J. Foster of Sound & Vision Magazine (August 1995) gave them his Critic's Choice Award for speakers in the $1001-$1500 category
Drivers are MINT- No push ins. Woofer are with stitched surrounds like the ones used in famouse ENERGY 22 Connoisseur but Much better huge bottom end than the 22s I also like very much. Clean - clear - full sound - great bass - and very accurate.
